BRMC presents $19,000 check for Bradford fire victims
BRADFORD, PA – On Friday, July 28, team members from Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC), a member of Upper Allegheny Health System (UAHS), presented Destinations Bradford with a $19,281.00 check to benefit the local Bradford fire victims.
Families displaced by the recent fires in Bradford that registered with Destinations will receive support from the proceeds that were raised.
The money was generated through a chicken BBQ, bake sale and chance auction fundraiser spearheaded by a committee of UAHS employees that consisted of Rosa Macilvaine, BRMC EKG technician, Dave Monroe, BRMC chief administrative officer, Stacy Williams, executive director, Bradford Hospital Foundation, Dylan Berghauser, BRMC food service director, Kim Murphey, administrative assistant, and Joe Fuglewicz, UAHS director of marketing.
The team of volunteers served over 400 chicken dinners while American Refining Group (ARG) made a substantial donation to the cause.
“First I want to give a big thanks to our team of volunteers, ARG, and the community for showing up for a great cause,” said Dave Monroe, CAO. “We want the community to know that we’re here for them whenever they’re in need. And the shirts we sported on the day of the fundraiser holds true — we’re caring for our community in more ways than one!”
