BRMC, OGH Welcomes New Primary Care Physician Assistant
Bradford, PA – Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital (OGH), Kaleida Health facilities, recently welcomed Lexandria Pascarella, MPAS, PA-C, to the primary care practice at the Bradford Medical Arts Building. Pascarella will be joining the practice of Jakub Wojcik, MD.
Pascarella has spent the last six years in family medicine in various practices throughout the region. Her scope of practice will include routine physical and gynecologic examinations, and treatment of hypertension, diabetes, hypothyroidism, migraines, anxiety, depression, anemia, and chronic kidney disease. Pascarella was born and raised in the area.
“For anyone who knows my mom, then they know I practically grew up in BRMC radiology. Growing up in a healthcare system made me want to pursue a career in this field. I like the challenges associated with medical decision-making and the satisfactory feeling knowing I am a part of someone’s medical journey and helped to make a difference,” said Pascarella.
She added, “I’m happy to be practicing in my hometown and help out my community members.”
Pascarella graduated from Marywood University in Scranton, PA, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in pre-physician assistant studies and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies.
When asked what sets her apart from other providers, she stated, “I want my patients to feel like they’re taking an active role in their own health care, so effective communication and equipping patients with a thorough understanding is crucial. I really want patients to feel like they have a say in how they’re treated.”
Pascarella is seeing new patients at the Bradford Medical Arts Building located at 195 Pleasant Street, Bradford, PA. Patients can make appointments by calling (814) 368-7000.
