Brian Delp, 56, of Wellsboro, passed away Friday August 16, 2024, at his home surrounded by family, following a brave and extended battle with cancer. 

He was born October 9, 1967, in Sellersville, PA, to David N and Betty Louise (MacLaughlin) Delp.  Brian had an extensive and varied vocational history, from fast food and retail work, to working for Ward Manufacturing, GTE and Corning, he worked as a lineman for the phone company, a corrections officer for Tioga County, a DJ for WNBT, a food broker, two tours as a commercial fisherman in Alaska, and finally he worked as a team leader in materials management for UPMC.  On July 4, 2021 he married Michelle Leatherman.

Brian embraced life and enjoyed what it had to offer.  He loved the outdoors and was an avid hiker, biker, snowshoer, swimmer, and he loved to walk.  He loved people and being with friends, and enjoyed participating in Hamilton-Gibson plays.  But his time spent with children and grandchildren was most precious to Brian.

Brian is survived by his wife:  Michelle Delp of Wellsboro; his parents David Delp of Camp Hill, and Betty Louise (Jim) Frandsen of Nichols, NY; a son:  Andrew Delp of Lawrenceville; a daughter:  Laurel Delp (Hunter) Drayer of Wellsboro; two step-sons:  Zachary Bowers and Brady Bowers of Wellsboro; two grandchildren:  Briella Lily May DeBockler, and Elias Brian Drayer; a sister:  Jeannine Delp (Arthur) Kemp of Wellsboro; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother Neil Delp.
