BLACK TIE GROOVE TO PERFORM MOTOWN, SOUL AND FUNK FOR WELLSBORO COMMUNITY CONCERT ASSOCIATION SHOW TODAY SATURDAY, OCT. 19
Black Tie Groove will be singing and playing Motown, Soul and Funk from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s this Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Coolidge Theatre at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro. This is the second concert of the Wellsboro Community Concert Association’s 76th six-concert season.
Known for their high-energy performances, this New Jersey-based group features seven talented musicians including lead vocalists Erin Kukla and Eric Delaney; Keith Kukla on lead guitar; Tony Chibaro on drums; Joe Gorgolione on bass guitar; Joe Andreacchi on keyboards; and Ricky Paetzell on saxophone.
Among the songs Black Tie Groove will perform are the Temptations’ “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg”; Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”; Patti LaBelle and the Labelle’s “Lady Marmalade”; Aretha Franklin’s “Respect”; Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”; and Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons’ “Oh What a Night”.
Seating is in individual, comfortable, theatre-style chairs.
Tickets, if available, will be sold at the door Saturday night starting at 6:30 p.m.
The other four Saturday night 7:30 p.m. concerts being presented in the Deane Center’s Coolidge Theatre during the Wellsboro Community Concert Association’s 2024-2025 season are: Nov. 16, The Gibson Brothers, Bluegrass at its Finest; Feb. 15, 2025, House of Hamill, Upcycled Celtic Folk and Vintage Vibes; March 15, 2025, Dàimh, award winning ‘Gaelic Super Group”; and April 5, 2025, The EG Kight Trio with EG Kight’s blend of “country flavored southern fried Blues.”
A Season Subscription for adults 19 and older represents a 50 percent savings over the individual ticket price for each of the five remaining WCCA concerts. There is a student subscription for ages 13 to 18 for the concert series. Youngsters ages 12 and under are admitted free to the concert series when accompanied by a paying adult. Please reserve a seat for any child attending for free.

WCCA concert tickets for each show or a Season Subscription can be purchased in cash or by check (no credit cards) at the Deane Center office between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
