Betty Alexander Hill, 83 of Warren, PA, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at her residence, Watson Memorial Home, Warren, PA., after an extended illness. 

She was born June 1, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Robert and Margaret Beckenbach Alexander.  She had resided in Cleveland, MS for 26 years before moving back to Warren and was a former resident of Gouverneur, NY for 9 years.

She was a 1958 honor graduate of Warren High School and attended SUNY at Buffalo and Delta State University at Cleveland, MS. 

Betty was a member of First  Methodist Church where she was also a volunteer relief secretary and a former member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Cleveland, MS. where she was very active on their financial committee.  She was a member of the Close to the Heart Transplant Group in Warren and was an avid reader and traveler.

She is survived by her children – Michael Hill of Crawley, LA, Penny Hill-Pina of Dalton, GA, Sister – Marty Ginzl and husband, Tom of Estero, FL. and Woodbury, MN.

3 Grandchildren – Melody Turman and husband, Trey both of Hernando, MS., Tiffany Chavez and husband, Fransico, Robert Pina all of Dalton, GA., and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Son – Dennis Mong, Jr. Brother – Burt Alexander

A memorial service will be conducted at First Methodist Church, 200 Market Street, Warren, PA., on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dr. Mark Hecht, Pastor, and Rev. Michael Rutenber, Pastor of visitation co- officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the church memorial gardens.
