Barbara J. Barth, 76, of Oswayo, PA, formerly of Bolivar, N.Y., passed away in her home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, after a lengthy illness.

Born on Thursday, July 18, 1946 in Franklinville, N.Y., she was a daughter of Kenneth Hirt and Helen Allen Hirt Bortz. 

Barbara attended school in Olean.

Surviving are six children, Tamala Barth, Steve (Tammy) Barth, Donald Barth, Tracy (Kurt) Martin, Christina Poweska, and Alvin (Stacey) Poweska; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three siblings, David Hirt. Sandra Hirt Knox, and Daniel Hirt; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was predeceased by a son, William “Billy” Joe Barth.

There will be no public visitation or funeral services.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Barbara’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Barbara’s family has entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
