Donna L. Lewis, age 81 of Westfield, PA passed away on Thursday December 22, 2022 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira.
Born October 13, 1941 in Addison, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Virginia (Gee) Avery. Donna married Paul G. Lewis on December 27, 1959 and they shared 62 years together.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting, fishing, picking berries and playing games on her computer.
She is survived by her husband, Paul of Westfield; children, Deb and Don Kibbe of Harrison Valley and Paul and Lori Lewis, Jr. of Rathbone, NY: grandchildren, Charles and Tara Kibbe of North Fork, Sheri and Matt Slater of Mansfield, Terry Lewis of Alaska, Candi Hendrickson of Alaska and Roy Lewis of Ohio; great grandchildren, Dakota, Wyatt, Myah, Maleah and Chelsea and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Chuck Avery.
Private family services will be held at their convenience.

Harrisburg, PA – Colonel Robert Evanchick, commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police, announced that 102 cadets have graduated from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy. The class was the 165th to graduate from the academy in Hershey since it opened in 1960.
Colonel Evanchick told the cadets they have been given the tools needed to succeed. He said it is now up to them to apply what they have learned.
“I ask you to never compromise yourself or your fellow troopers, and always maintain your honor and integrity,” said Evanchick. “I have full faith in your abilities and devotion to protect and serve the residents and visitors of this commonwealth.”

David J. “Bud” Brandt, IV, 31, of Kersey passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
He was born on March 15, 1991 in Bradford, PA, a son of David Brandt, III and Paula Seighman Brandt, who survive of Kersey.
Bud loved working on vehicles, as well as riding four wheelers and motorcycles. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a shared love for Iron Maiden and his two dogs, Iris and Star. Anyone and everyone who knew Bud knew he would lend a helping hand anyway he could, an attribute of many that will be deeply missed about him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters; Amanda Ryden of Kersey and Deanna (Ian) Straub of Byrnedale, by one nephew; Michael, and by one niece; Mazakeen. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother; Carlyn Seighman of Smethport, his paternal grandmother; Patricia Brandt of Meyerstown, and his paternal grandfather; David (Loretta) Brandt, Jr. of Lebanon. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather; William “Bill” Seighman.
Funeral Services for David J. Brandt, IV will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Rec. Barry Moyer officiating.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 11:30 AM until the time of the service.

Richard C. “Dick” Gustin, 86, of Roulette, passed away in his home with his loving family by his side on Thursday, December 22, 2022, after a short illness.

Raymond P. DeMatz, 92, of Meadow Rd., Emporium, PA formerly of Sykesville passed away at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, PA on Wednesday afternoon (December 21, 2022) following a brief illness. He was born November 22, 1930 in Sykesville, PA a son of the late Peter and Angeline Sandy DeMatz. He married Anne Geleskie DeMatz in St. Mark Catholic Church, Emporium, PA.
Ray graduated from the former Sykesville High School in the class of 1948. After graduation he served with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Sylvania, after 36 years, working as a tool maker with his last 16 years as tool room foreman. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, Emporium where he served as an usher for many years. He was a life member of the Miller-Raffaele Post 6221, VFW, and the Knights of Columbus. Ray enjoyed hunting, golfing, gardening, wine making, and loved his family very much. He generously shared with many people the fruits of his labor.
In addition to his wife Anne he is survived by two sisters, Marie Cressley, Reynoldsville and Laura Towns, Sykesville; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Zediak.
There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Tuesday (December 27, 2022) at 12:00 PM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor and Msgr. Charles A. Kaza, Concelebrants.
Burial will take place Wednesday in the Assumption Cemetery, Sykesville, PA.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 E. 4th Street, Emporium, PA 15834.
