OLEAN, NY – Grand River Agency is pleased to announce the appointment of Josh Hatcher as Vice President of Client Success. With a strong background in creative marketing, graphic design, writing and leadership, Hatcher brings over 25 years of experience to serve GRA’s small nonprofit and business clients across the United States.

Hatcher will oversee a team of designers, writers and marketing experts, fostering strong client relationships and driving the agency’s commitment to helping clients succeed in their strategic communications endeavors. Hatcher’s skills with content strategy will map out a unique plan for even small clients to achieve big-market outreach and impact.

His expertise in comprehensive marketing strategy, video production and social media, combined with his success in growing his own podcast at Manlihood.com, will also play a pivotal role in the agency’s expansion into podcast marketing services. 

We will resume regular hours on Tuesday. “Daycare” Story Hour: The library will have a story hour on Friday mornings from 10:00 a.m – 10:30 a.m. for children aged 3-5. Fall Festival: The fall festival will be here before you know it! Please join us on Saturday, September 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for food, vendors, crafts, and fun. This year, we will also have entertainment brought to you by Benjamin Berry, a professional circus artist. Performances will be at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. If you plan on being a vendor, please get your completed forms and table fees to the library ASAP!

Cameron County Chamber of Commerce hosting the annual All Fired Up Kickin Ash BBQ competition on Saturday September 23.  Emporium Food Market is the prime sponsor.  The highlight of the event is the mystery meat competition.  Competitors can take home a $500 cash prize. 

2023 Sales Tax
Deputy County Treasurer Jenna Kelley presented the 2023 Allegany County Sales Tax Report previously submitted by County Treasurer Terri Ross reflecting net receipts totaling $18,041,846.45 through August 23, 2023.

The year-to-date figures show gross receipts had an increase of $1,073,430.80
or 6.326 percent more compared to last year at this time.

This morning, I visited the Potter County Christian School and talked to civics class students about the different branches of government, the roles that these branches undertake and who falls into these three branches.

The students were very well educated and engaged in conversations regarding how an idea turns into a law and the process that it takes to get laws passed.

Potter County Christian School not only deserves accolades for an outstanding education curriculum, but most importantly, fosters a strong foundation of faith.

BRADFORD, PA/OLEAN, NY – Employees of Upper Allegheny Health System (UAHS), parent company of Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital (OGH), packed 500 backpacks with a variety of school supplies which will benefit area elementary students for this school year.
