Wildcats spotlight on men’s golf

After guiding his team to a conference championship and NCAA tournament berth during his first full season — and with all of his players returning — Pennsylvania College of Technology golf coach Rob Lytle is optimistic.
“We want to keep building on the success we had last year,” Lytle said.
The Wildcats are scheduled to open their fall season Tuesday in the Elizabethtown College Fall Invitational at Hershey Country Club East.

At crosstown rival Lycoming College on Monday, the Wildcats lost, 3-0. Team leaders were Marianna Dariychuk, of Leola, with 10 kills; Cheyenne Stein, of Orwigsburg, with 13 assists; and Maggie Mangene, of Boalsburg, with 10 digs.

An automatic crash detection alert was receive by McKean County 911 with no response on callback.
Wellsville Police arrested Stephanie N. Bennett, age 34 of Wellsville, charging her with DWI and DWI w/BAC of .08% or more. The charges stem from an incident that took place on Park Avenue. Bennett was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released to a third party. Bennett is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on September 19th at 4:30 pm.

On September 10 at 10:41 pm. Roulette ambulance was dispatched to North St. for chest pains.

On September 10 at 9:08 pm Wellsville fire was dispatched to a vehicle fire on Hunters Rd. the vehicle is fully involved near a residence.

KERSEY, PA–Michael J. Curley, 54, of Kersey, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Penn Highlands Elk.
He was born on September 1, 1969 in St. Marys, a son of the Richard and Dorothy Boring Curley.
Mike was a lifelong resident of Kersey and attended St. Marys Area Schools. He worked at Eastern Sintered Alloys for more than 30 years.

ST. MARYS, PA–Georgia Lynn Hoffman, 57, of 1050 Theresia Street, St. Marys, PA passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at her residence.
She was born February 28, 1966, in St. Marys, PA, daughter of the late Olin Wayne Tucker, Sr. and Sandra A. Fischer Tucker, who survives. Georgia was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys schools.

ST. MARYS, PA–Christina “Tina” Sette (Herbstritt), 57, of 960 Windfall Road, St. Marys, PA died on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Allegheny General Hospital, after a hard fought battle with breast cancer.
She was born on April, 25, 1966, in St. Marys, a daughter of Nancy and Robert Caskey. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1984.
On August 12, 2017 in the Chapel at Las Vegas, she married Nick Sette, who survives.
