The Potter County Housing Authority will receive bids for Sidewalk and Stair Repair for Ulysses Family Housing Project, Ulysses, Pennsylvania, at the office of the Owner, Potter County Housing Authority, 109 Market Street, Coudersport, Pennsylvania, until 2 P.M.; E.S.T., Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at which time and place all bids will be opened and read aloud.
The bid envelope shall be marked “Sidewalk and Stair Repair for Ulysses Family Housing”, and marked to the attention of Mr. Richard Duzick. Bidders will be notified as to bid results and disposition of contract award. Proposed forms of contract documents are on file at the office of the Potter County Housing Authority, 109 Market Street, Coudersport, Pennsylvania 16915, and will be available for inspection.
Copies of the documents may be obtained by depositing $20 (nonrefundable) with the Potter County Housing Authority for each set of documents so obtained.
This sidewalk and stair repair project requires PA prevailing wage rates. A set of current rates will be available upon request by bidder. Contact information for the PA Department of Labor Wage Rate Division will be available for questions.
By making a Bid, the Bidder represents that (s) he has visited the site, (site meeting date will be set), become familiar with local Conditions, under which the work is to be performed, and has correlated these observations with the requirements of the proposed Drawings and Specifications. Bidder also represents that (s) he has read and understands the Drawings and Specifications, and the Bid is made in accordance therewith.
Potter County Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any
informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn without the consent of the Potter County Housing Authority. The “invitation to bid” documentation is located on page IB-1 in the bid document. Maude A. GOODENOUGH, 88, of Gold, PA, died Friday, August 30, 2024 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
Born January 11, 1936, in Whitesville, NY, she was the daughter of Robert Joseph and Lillian Hulse Sutton.
On July 27, 1957, in Ulysses, she married James N. Goodenough, who predeceased her on August 25, 2021.

She was born on November 24, 1936 in Williamsport, PA, a daughter of the late Eugene H. and Helen C. (Horam) Haus and was married for 66 years to Larry D. Krout. Ann was an RN working for the York Hospital until her retirement in 1995 and attended the United Methodist Church of Wellsboro, PA.

Hamilton-Gibson Women’s Project Seeks Experienced Male And Female Singers For This Year’s Holiday Cabaret
The Hamilton-Gibson Women’s Project seeks experienced male and female singers age 14 and up for this year’s Holiday Cabaret featuring unique tunes and holiday favorites in a festive cabaret atmosphere. Auditions are taking place Friday, September 13 at 6:30pm, Saturday, September 14 at 10:30am, and Sunday, September 15 at 1:30pm at The Warehouse Gallery 3 Central Ave., Wellsboro, and performances are December 12, 13 and 14 at 7:30pm – also in the Warehouse Gallery space in Wellsboro.
This evening of holiday cheer is a 1940’s radio show style evening with an original script written by Lilace Guignard of Wellsboro. The story follows the events of a call-in radio show on Christmas Eve in the year 1940, and has lots of humor, heart, wartime news and local lore. Solos, duets and group numbers will be performed, along with period commercials and newsbreaks.

Debra K. Debbie Uplinger, 63, of Emporium, PA passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Tuesday afternoon (August 27, 2024). She was born January 30, 1961 in St. Marys, PA a daughter of the late Guy and Dorothy M. Miller Uplinger.
Debbie graduated from Cameron Country High School. She worked at Motor Coil for a brief time and then at Olivett’s where she loved talking to everyone. She also worked cleaning UPMC Cole Emporium office. Debbie loved being with family, especially the children.

Gloria D. “Toots” Stuckey, 86, a lifelong resident of Austin, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at UPMC Cole Place, Coudersport, after a brief illness.
Toots was born on Sunday, April 10, 1938 at the family home in Austin, a daughter of Francis C. and Sarah E. Lentz Marshall. On October 31, 1959 in the Austin United Methodist Church, she married Norman Stuckey, who passed away on December 14, 2005.

BRMC, OGH 2nd Annual Pulse of the Community Gala set for September 20
Ellicottville, NY – Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital (OGH), Kaleida Health facilities, will host the 2nd Annual Pulse of the Community Gala on Friday, September 20.
The event is presented by the Bradford Hospital Foundation and Olean General Hospital Foundation to unite to improve cancer care services in the region. The black-tie event will run from 5:30 pm to 10 pm at Holiday Valley Resort’s main lodge with a rolling agenda.

PennDOT performs year-round maintenance in its mission to provide a safe, efficient transportation system, and the scope of work in McKean County for the coming week is as follows:
Bridge Maintenance & Cleaning
- Route 6 at the POW/MIA Memorial Bridge spanning Potato Creek in Keating Township. Tuesday, September 3, and Wednesday, September 4. This work will take place on the shoulder with minor roadway encroachment. PennDOT urges drivers to use caution and be alert for workers on or near the roadway.

Daniel E. Dixon, 77, of Bradford, PA
Daniel E. Dixon, 77, of Chestnut St. passed away Tuesday (Aug. 27) at Sena-Kean Manor. Born Jan. 10, 1947 in Bradford, he is the son of the late Stewart and Della (Belser) Dixon.
Dan had been a machinist at Kane Handle and had also worked at the Particle Board plant. He was a past member of the Kane Elks Club #329. He had served in the US Navy and then served in the Reserves after his completion of active duty. Dan enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR & dirt track racing and wood working.

Ronald A. Zampogna, jokingly known to his family as “The Management,” passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on August 27, 2024, at the age of 81. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Sue Zampogna; daughter Tammy (Bob) Liberato of Oxford, PA; sons Tim Zampogna and Rick (Tracey Benson) Zampogna, both of Kane, PA; daughter Julie (Andrew) Wehner of Oxford, PA; brothers Joe Zampogna of Kane, PA, Mick Zampogna of Lakewood, MN, and Tom (Kelly) Zampogna of St. Marys, PA; brothers-in-law Don (Coleen) Lundeen of Kane, PA, and Jim Lundeen of Vero Beach, FL.
