Motorists who travel Route 49 in Westfield Township, Tioga County are advised the road is closed between Pritchard Hollow Road and Crance Brood Road as a precaution due to undermining at the bridge.

On Tuesday, August 14, 2024, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation maintenance crew established long-term detours to be in effect while a repair project can be completed.

Traffic Impacts:

• Passenger cars will detour using Whites Corner Road (Route 1019) and North Fork Road (Route 1016) in Potter County, and North Fork Road (Routes 4008 and 4005) in Tioga County.
  
• Large trucks will detour using Routes 449 in Potter County, Route 6 in Potter and Tioga counties, and Route 349 in Tioga County.
