Kozmo and Ryan Bliss will perform illusion, misdirection and sleight of hand coupled with laughter and surprises in the Coolidge Theatre at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro. These incredible magicians have performed for some of the biggest stars in the world and will amaze audience members.
Tickets are available for the three magic shows. The first is at 7:30 p.m. this Friday, April 11. The second is at 2 p.m. and the third is at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, April 12. The doors will open for the 7:30 p.m. shows at 7:15 p.m. and for the 2 p.m. show at 1:45 p.m.
Kozmo
Asked how he and Ryan had started working together, Kozmo said, “I spend a lot of time with professional magicians and they kept bringing up Ryan’s name. When I had an opening, I reached out to him. Ryan said he was a fan of mine and would love to put together a show and so here we are. He is a fantastic sleight of hand magician, one of the top guys,” said Kozmo.
A legendary street performer, Kozmo has thrilled audiences with his hilarious brand of magic from Bourbon Street to the Great Wall of China. He keeps his audiences in stitches and blows their collective minds using ordinary objects. In addition to performing at festivals and on street corners around the U.S., Kozmo has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the Late Show with David Letterman and was the first close-up magician among six magicians who went on the first Magic Tour of China in 2009. He is from Owego, N.Y. and works at the Magic Castle, a nightclub for magicians and fans of magic in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles, California, and at the House of Cards in Nashville, Tennessee, a magic-themed dining experience.
Ryan Bliss. a professional magician from Sauquoit in Central New York, has been practicing, performing and perfecting the art of magic for almost 20 years. He is recognized as a talented coin magician, and one of the top sleight-of-hand performers in the world. Bliss will be seated at a table as he performs new and seemingly impossible, close-up magical moments.
As a special treat, magic enthusiasts can pay $30 for VIP tickets, which are limited to 24 people per show. VIP ticket holders are admitted early to the theatre for the meet-and-greet with these magicians. Provided are exclusive access to the magicians, photo opportunities, an up close and personal magic session with cards and coins beginning at 6:15 p.m. or at 12:45 p.m. and preferred seating for a 7:30 p.m. show or the 2 p.m. show.
General admission for a show is $20 for an adult, 19 and older and $10 for youth ages 8 to 18. “We use cameras and screens so people in the audience can see all of the details of our magic. The beauty of the show is we make sure that everyone in the audience has a great seat,” said Kozmo.
