Anna Mae Parmigiani, 91, of Kersey, PA
Anna Mae Parmigiani, 91, of Kersey, PA passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, at the Elk Haven Nursing Home.
She was born October 6, 1932, in Kersey, a daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Krellner) Dietz. Anna Mae was a 1950 graduate of Kersey High School.
She worked for A&P Grocery Store, Enterprise Printing, and Speer Resistor until she married Paul Parmigiani, on August 27, 1955 at St. Boniface Church.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Paul of 68 years; three children, Jane (Edward) Huff of Kersey, Sandra (Greg) Blomgren of New Kensington, and Dr. John (Anne) Parmigiani of Corvalis, OR; seven grandchildren: Bernie, Betsy, Jenny, Megan, Ernie, Joe, and Mary; and five great-grandchildren: Hannah, Olivia, Lee, Clara, and Zoey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine siblings: Ralph Dietz (Mary Zimmerman), Alfred Dietz, Eva (Dietz) Burdick (Roger), Mary (Dietz) Murnaghan (Henry), Helen (Dietz) Gahr (Francis), Philip Dietz (Alice Brown), Cornelius Dietz, Gertrude (Dietz) Ferris (William), and Bernard Dietz (Lenore Bennett). Anna Mae was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was a faithful member of St. Boniface Church in Kersey, where she enjoyed being a longtime member of the Rosary Society. Anna Mae also served as Treasurer for the Cub Scout Organization for many years. Anna Mae enjoyed traveling with Paul, especially a trip to Italy and Germany where they visited their ancestral home towns. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Kevin Holland, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
Visitation will be held in the St. Boniface Church Gathering Space on Monday morning, from 9:00 until the time of Mass.
