Alfred E. Ritter           

Alfred E. “Skip” Ritter, 77, of Odin, passed away with his loving family by his side, on Friday, March 7, 2025, in UPMC Williamsport, after a short illness.

Born on Tuesday, January 6, 1948, in Allentown, PA, he was a son of Alfred and Rose Fandal Ritter.

Skip served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.  He was employed by Mack Truck for 37 years in Allentown, PA and in Winnsboro, SC as the UAW president.

Skip enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and watching professional sports.

Surviving are his wife,, Patricia Barton; a stepdaughter, Tara L. (James) Henry of Virginia; a step-grandson, Colin Henry; a brother, Warren (Miriam) Ritter; and a niece, Susan Ritter.

Skip was predeceased by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Skip’s name may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.

Skip’s wife entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
