Hamilton-Gibson Treble Choir Coffee fundraiser
The Hamilton-Gibson Treble Choir is collaborating with Conspiracy Coffee of Mansfield to hold a coffee sale fundraiser now through October 15th to raise funds for their 2025 trip to York, England.
The trip, titled “Destination York”, is an opportunity for the choirs to perform three concerts overseas, including one collaboration concert with a local choir in York. For one week in early May, the students will explore the area with daily activities to museums, historical landmarks, national parks, castles and more.
Students in the choir take on the responsibility of raising the funds they need to be able to go on the trip, and the coffee sale is just one of many fundraising opportunities planned. Choir members will also be selling poinsettias for the holiday season, conducting a baked potato sale at the Dickens Festival, and performing a fundraising concert in Wellsboro in early March featuring the music of James Taylor and Carol King.
This weekend’s concert – the Autumn Chorale on Sunday, October 6 at 4:00pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Wellsboro – is sponsored by Buildings Inc. and Sur-lok Storage. It features both the Treble Choir and the younger group, Choir Too, with a program of choral music that explores a fascinating collection of musical works and traditions that all contribute to the American Experience. Tickets are available at HGP.Booktix.com or by calling 570-724-2079. The locally roasted coffee is available at www.hamiltongibson.org.
