BRADFORD – Northern Pennsylvania Regional College (NPRC) and the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (Pitt-Bradford) signed a guaranteed transfer agreement to enable NPRC students in three associate degree programs to transfer into bachelor’s programs at Pitt-Bradford.
 
The signing took place in an official ceremony held on the campus of Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday, September 4.
 
Those degrees include:

Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies into any Pitt-Bradford undergraduate program, provided they meet the program requirements for general education courses and electives. However, these general education courses and electives will not replace the required major courses in the Pitt-Bradford program.

Associate of Science in Business Administration into the Bachelor of Science in Business Management

Associate of Science in Criminal Justice into the Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice

To be eligible, NPRC students must also meet the following minimum requirements:

Students must have received a cumulative grade-point average of 2.0 or higher; completed, plan to complete, or plan to transfer back the major requirements prescribed by NPRC for graduation; and have received a favorable recommendation from the Articulation Agreement Program Liaison at NPRC to successfully complete credit transfer to Pitt-Bradford.

Additional eligibility criteria may be imposed for NPRC students seeking to transfer into certain Pitt-Bradford majors that may have stricter admissions requirements, including nursing, radiological science, and engineering.

Northern Pennsylvania Regional College President Susie Snelick shared, “The signing of this academic agreement with the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford provides a wonderful opportunity for our students, continuing their pathway beyond an associate’s degree, to realize their dream.  NPRC meets students where they are and provides multiple pathways to advance along their educational journey. We are excited for this opportunity and to work alongside Pitt-Bradford as we collaborate for the betterment of our region.” Pitt-Bradford’s Vice President for Enrollment Management Dr. James Baldwin also commented saying, “We are excited to collaborate with our colleagues at Northern Pennsylvania Regional College and to provide students from NPRC with a seamless matriculation process to Pitt-Bradford. We are especially delighted to be able to provide those students with a guaranteed renewable transfer scholarship. This agreement is just one example of our efforts to support the success of Pennsylvania students.”

The agreement is set to be honored for five years and will go into effect for the Spring 2025 term.
