Headwaters FFA Members Make Chapter History
10 FFA members from the Headwaters FFA Chapter are making waves on a national level. Each year thousands of FFA members flood Indianapolis, Indiana for the weeklong National FFA Convention. During the week, members participate in competitions, network, and are recognized for their esteemed achievements. This year 10 members of the Headwaters FFA will be joining their peers in Indianapolis to receive their American FFA Degrees.
The American Degree is the highest achievement an FFA member can earn. To receive this award a member must have earned $10,000 and invested $7,500 into their project of choice or have invested $2,000 and worked at least 2,250 hours with their project. This year 108 members from Pennsylvania will be receiving their American FFA Degrees. Headwaters, with 10, have the most recipients of any chapter within the state, but that is not the only reason this achievement is so momentous.
In the entirety of Headwaters FFA history, there have been less than 15 members to achieve this degree. To have 10 members receive this award in one year is quite an achievement, and the Headwaters FFA Chapter could not be prouder of this group of individuals. The group will be traveling to Indianapolis in October to receive their degrees and be recognized for their achievements.
