Hamilton-Gibson Women’s Project Hosts Tea Party
The Hamilton-Gibson Women’s Project will host a Tea Party on Saturday, April 6th at 2pm to benefit Haven of Tioga County, and to promote their upcoming production of original works entitled WOMEN.
Since the initial concept for WOMEN was proposed by producer Kacy Hagan of Wellsboro, it has been the intent to have the show host an event to raise funds for local organizations that support women in Tioga County. Haven offers a wide array of free and confidential support services to those who are affected by domestic violence or sexual assault. Founded in 1984, Haven of Tioga County has also developed a strong education and outreach program that provides learning opportunities for area schools, civic organizations, and the community as a whole.
The Tea Party will feature live music with harpist Cheryl Hein Walters, many delicious savory and sweet treats, and a variety of hot teas, iced tea, and lemonade will be served. Some members of the cast, directors, and writers of WOMEN will be present to talk about the show and engage in dialogue with attendees about topics covered in the production.
Tickets are $30 for the Tea Party, and a combo ticket is available for $40 (discount of $6). Combo tickets include a ticket to the Tea Party on April 6, and a ticket to see the show, WOMEN: A Collection of Original Work, running April 12, 13, 19 & 20 at 7:30pm, and April 14 & 21 at 2:30pm at The Warehouse Theater in Wellsboro.
Tickets for both events are available at www.hamiltongibson.org, or by calling 570-724-2079.
