(McKean County, February 19, 2024): McKean County Law Enforcement pays tribute to the memory of Patrolman Steve Jerman, who made the ultimate sacrifice 25 years ago while serving with the Kane Borough Police Department.

On February 20, 1999, during a traffic stop, Patrolman Jerman was tragically shot and killed.

As we mark this solemn anniversary, our thoughts and prayers are with his family.  In commemoration of this dedicated officer, the McKean County District Attorney’s Office and the McKean County Law Enforcement community express profound respect and appreciation. We solemnly vow to never forget Patrolman Steven Jerman’s sacrifice and the mark he left on our community.”
