The Department of Conservation Natural Resource Rangers are investigating an act of vandalism that occurred at the Brooks Run Fire Tower in Cameron County prior to 10/07/2023. Unknown actor(s) entered the secured fencing and climbed to the top of the fire tower where they broke multiple windows and a gate. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call the Elk State Forest office at (814) 486-3353.
