PCS Drama Club Presents: Too Many Detectives at the Murder Mansion
Portville, NY – October 22, 2024 – “Too Many Detectives at the Murder Mansion” written by Ian McWethy and published by Stage Partners, is playing at the PCS Auditorium on November 15 & 16, 2024. Showtimes are Friday, November 15 at 7 pm and Saturday, November 16 at 2 pm and 7 pm. The PCS Drama Club cast and crew contains approximately 40 students in grades 7-12 led by director Cheri Maxson. Miss Amanda Burdick is the stage manager and Mrs. Lynne Weimer is the Theater Boosters president and house manager. Over a dozen adult volunteers make up the production team.
Commenting on the upcoming production, Maxson said, “Bringing this brand-new play to our stage has been a wonderful experience. The students have had a lot of fun learning about iconic detectives, like Sherlock Holmes, Sam Spade and Miss Marple. The more modern characters like the Scooby Gang and Batman have given us flashes of hilarity and true creative inspiration. Being able to find those comedic moments where each actor can shine has been such a great learning experience. This production is a parody that will have the audience laughing throughout the show. We’re really excited to bring it to our stage.”
