Elaine graduated from Wellsboro High School in 1953, completed her bachelor’s degree from Mansfield State Teachers College in 1959, and did postgraduate work in Library Sciences. Aunt Elaine loved to dote on her nine nieces and nephews, whom she adored. She sewed many outfits for “her girls” and baked and decorated birthday cakes for everyone. She always had a smile, a hug, and words of encouragement for each one.
She was the youngest of five siblings and was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, David, Donald, and Philip Blowers; her sister Priscilla Blowers; nephew Paul Blowers; and great-nephew Josiah Goodrich. Remaining to celebrate her life and her love are sister-in-law Faith Blowers, long-time best friend Shirley Curtis, and nieces and nephews Dave and wife Dolly Blowers, Barb Blowers, Ruth (Blowers) ZumMallen, Dan and wife Ada Blowers, Debbie and husband Steve Goodrich, Rebecca Blowers, Don and wife Pam Blowers, Anita and husband Elon Morley, Steven and wife Pam Blowers, and their families.
