3 Vehicle Crash with Heavy Damage on Derrick Road

**4/27/23 3 Car MVA – Derrick Road / Harrisburg Run Intersection**
On Thursday evening at 2110 hrs DCVFD was dispatched by McKean County DES for a 2 car MVA w/head on collision, unknown details. Chief 11 was first to arrive on scene and reported 2 vehicles at the intersection blocking both lanes of traffic, heavy damage to both vehicles.
Both drivers were self-extricated and standing on the side of the road. Shortly thereafter, a 3rd vehicle involved was found approximately 150 feet down the road with its 4 way flashers on. Chief 1120 and EMT 1101 from assessed the 3rd vehicle and it was determined a passenger car with driver’s side damage and 2 patients.
Derrick Road was closed and a detour by Fire Police was put in place using Fairview Heights and Harrisburg Run. Rescue 11, Captain 1170 and Fire Police handled traffic control. Squad 11 provided debris cleanup and vehicle stabilization.
Derrick City EMT’s along with an Ambulance from City of Bradford provided care to a total of 4 patients. 3 refused treatment and 1 was transported to BRMC with non-life-threatening injuries.
All 3 vehicles were towed from the scene by Donovan’s Towing and Tuna Valley Towing. FTPD investigated the crash. The road was opened at 2220hrs. Squad 11, Rescue 11, all Chiefs along with 15 DCVFD Personnel responded to this incident.
