Sue Anne Pupo, 93, of 17 Sullivan Road, Bradford, passed away Tuesday November 19, 2024, at Olean General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 31, 1931, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Susan (Kutchmire) Dudick.
She was a 1949 graduate of St. Bernard High School, and a lifelong member of St. Bernard Church.
On June 9, 1956, in St. Bernard Church, she married Louis A. “Lou” Pupo, who preceded her in death on May 26, 2016.

The Rotary Club of Bradford Provides New Coats to Local Children.
[Bradford, PA] – Over 156 children in the Bradford Area School District, in local Headstart classrooms and through CARE for Children’s Early Intervention program received brand-new coats this week from the Rotary Club of Bradford.
The project was supported by proceeds from the annual Rotary Golf Tournament, the Blaisdell Foundation and a matching grant from Rotary District #7280.
“A warm coat is an essential item for children in our community,” said Ben Kirsch, President of the Rotary Club of Bradford. “We are proud to work with Operation Warm, the Blaisdell Foundation and District #7280 on this initiative to make an impact on our community – especially this year, when more families than ever are in need.”
Death in House Fire Ruled Accidental
Jamie Yeager, 63, of 117 Chicken Hill Road, Kersey, PA, was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death is due to smoke inhalation and this death has been ruled accidental.

Elmer Gatecloux, 87, formerly of Bradford, a resident of Snyder Memorial Health Care in Marienville, since January 30, 2023, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at the facility.

He was born Dec. 17, 1944, to the late Philip and Emilie (O’Bradovic) Palutro.
Philip was a very sensitive, caring man. He loved God, golf, his family and law programs. He was a little stubborn sometimes too! This quality would be needed later on in his life though …

Kenneth Clark Boal, known affectionately as Ken, passed away on October 10, 2024, in Mechanicsburg, at the age of 91. Born on December 5, 1932, in Clearfield, Ken was a man of strong character and dedication, evident in every aspect of his life, from his family to his career.
After completing his high school education at Clearfield High School, Ken proudly served in the military as part of the Army’s 10th Infantry and 37th Infantry Divisions, where he demonstrated his commitment and resilience.

Allegany County Kicks Off Peer-to-Peer Veteran Program this Holiday Season

Joanne C. (Spencer) Higley, 89, of Wellsboro, passed away Saturday November 16, 2024, at Guthrie Robert Packer, in Sayre, PA. She was born February 4, 1935, in Wellsboro, to Wallace and Vivian (Stradley) Spencer. Joanne graduated from high school and worked at Wundies in Wellsboro. On October 20, 1955, she married Horace H. Higley with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. She loved animals, especially horses, and enjoyed fishing, country music, puzzles, and was especially fond of ice cream.
