Vandals Damage VFW Baseball Field in Port Allegany
Good afternoon. It is unfortunate that we even have to take time to make a post like this. However, we are looking for information related to the vandalism at our VFW field. If anyone has any information as to who would have spent time ruining home plate, ripping out bases and throwing them on top of the dug out, breaking brooms, spilling field dry, digging holes etc., please let us know. A handful of men put a lot of work into taking care of this field and a lot of girls depend on using it for their softball season.
We are very disappointed. Please reach out if anyone knows who might have spent some time here in the last 24 hours. Port Allegany Youth Baseball Association

“Joseph” Offers a Musical Style for Everyone
This weekend, Hamilton-Gibson Productions presents Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the Broadway hit by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, first mounted in New York in 1982 after being developed in the UK throughout the 1970s. Interestingly, it was also during this time that the first productions of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar (also by Lloyd Webber and Rice) were being mounted, another show with biblical roots where the story is told completely through music, and dubbed a “rock opera”. Joseph tells the classic bible tale of jealousy, betrayal and reconciliation all through music, but because of the show’s unique variety of musical genres it is impossible to give one overall descriptor to its musical style.
