Job Description:

Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Process Engineer where you will play a pivotal role in designing, defining, and planning manufacturing processes. You’ll be responsible for specifying and overseeing the installation of new processes, planning equipment build schedules, and monitoring vendor progress. Your expertise will contribute to recommending equipment, method, and layout changes to optimize manufacturing procedures and processes. Moreover, you’ll work on improving current processes through continual analysis of labor, equipment, and processing costs.

Desired Qualifications:

Previous experience in manufacturing methods/processes

Familiarity with PLC programming

Knowledge of CAD, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Industrial Engineering

Excellent creative, advisory, instructional, communication, and problem-solving skills

Education:

4-year bachelor’s degree preferred

Specific Education/ Experience:

2-4 year engineering degree, plus 3 to 5 years of manufacturing work experience. Candidates with Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering degrees are preferred.

Specific Skills and/or Experience with Software, Equipment, etc.:

MS Office, Autocad, Solidworks, Fanuc Robots, RSLogix, AB Panelbuilder, CTC HMI, Compumotor. Experience with equipment such as ultrasonic and vibration welding, automated vision, and electrical testing is desired.

Galeton Food Bank Community Service – Galeton Food Bank which is located at the St. Paul Lutheran Church at 45 Pine Street, appreciates the help that 5 Galeton High School students provide as part of working towards their community service requirement.  The students, along with other volunteers help unload the Food Bank truck from Williamsport on Tuesdays along with packing the food boxes. On the designated Friday, they help distribute the boxes to 85-90 families each month.  The boxes consist of canned goods, dry goods, fresh produce, meat, and bread. The Eastman Award, formerly the Lloyd E. Eastman Memorial Award, was recently presented to five PAHS Seniors.  The award, typically two $500 awards – one female and one male – was divided by the top vote-getters due to ties.    Their selection was made by administration, teachers and staff at Port Allegany High School as well as coaches and advisors who interact with the students.  The selection was based on the following piece by Bryan Scavnak: “Some kids are smarter than you, some kids have cooler clothes than you.  Some kids are better at sports than you.  It doesn’t matter…You have your thing, too.  Be the kid who can get along.

 Be the kid who is generous.  Be the kid who is happy for other people.  Be the kid who does the right thing.  Be the nice kid.”  Mr. Eastman was a graduate of Port Allegany High School, Class of 1941.  He began his banking career on his 21st birthday and retired on his 85th birthday after 64 years of service at the First National Bank of Port Allegany.  He worked his way from teller to President and Chairman of the Board.  He volunteered and served his church and community.  A devoted family man, Mr. Eastman and his wife, Dolores, were married for 70 years. She, too, was a graduate of Port Allegany High School, Class of 1942, worked at various jobs before becoming a homemaker and returned to the workforce after her children were grown.  She worked as a secretary at the Liberty School for the PASD until her retirement.  Earlier this year, Mrs. Eastman passed, leading the family to rename the Lloyd E. Eastman Memorial Award to the Eastman Award.  The couple were kind and generous people who were happy for the success of others, who did the right thing and were nice people.

ST. MARYS, Pa (May 17, 2024)– Dickinson Center, Inc. (DCI), a non-profit organization and affiliate of Journey Health System, is thrilled to announce a generous donation towards their St. Marys’ building project, the “Building for Tomorrow” capital campaign, from Mr. and Mrs. J. Paul Robertson.

The Robertson’s presented their check at DCI’s Children’s Center which will be part of DCI’s new building at 28 Railroad Street in St. Marys. Catering to Elk County families with children aged 5 and under, the Center fosters endless creativity. As DCI progresses with their “Building for Tomorrow” initiative, they invite families with young children to visit the Children’s Center, offering them a firsthand view of the new building’s construction progress and the enriching experiences awaiting within.
