Job Description:
Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Process Engineer where you will play a pivotal role in designing, defining, and planning manufacturing processes. You’ll be responsible for specifying and overseeing the installation of new processes, planning equipment build schedules, and monitoring vendor progress. Your expertise will contribute to recommending equipment, method, and layout changes to optimize manufacturing procedures and processes. Moreover, you’ll work on improving current processes through continual analysis of labor, equipment, and processing costs.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience in manufacturing methods/processes
Familiarity with PLC programming
Knowledge of CAD, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Industrial Engineering
Excellent creative, advisory, instructional, communication, and problem-solving skills
Education:
4-year bachelor’s degree preferred
Specific Education/ Experience:
2-4 year engineering degree, plus 3 to 5 years of manufacturing work experience. Candidates with Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering degrees are preferred.
Specific Skills and/or Experience with Software, Equipment, etc.:
MS Office, Autocad, Solidworks, Fanuc Robots, RSLogix, AB Panelbuilder, CTC HMI, Compumotor. Experience with equipment such as ultrasonic and vibration welding, automated vision, and electrical testing is desired.

Kenneth L. Burchell, 92, of Galeton, PA, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2024 at the Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, PA.
Born September 27, 1931, in Melrose, PA, he was a son of the late Lamont and Loretta (Thompkins) Burchell. He was married to Barbara Burchell who preceded him in death on December 10, 2016.
He worked at Larimer & Norton for several years before retiring and was a lifelong farmer.
Surviving are four daughters, Debbie Crossley, Tina Dickson and Karrie Zielinski, all of the Scranton, PA area and Tammie Lancenese, Galeton; a son, Edmond Burchell, Westfield, PA; two step-daughters, Ina Williams and Julie Schmidt; two special grandchildren, Alexis and Andrew Lancenese; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Ken was predeceased by all of his siblings and a grandson, Austin Lancenese.
Services will be held at the family’s convenience.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hess Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Collins Chapel, Galeton, PA.

Bradford, PA – The Bradford Hospital Foundation (BHF), the fundraising organization of Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC), presented a scholarship to a local aspiring nurse on Friday, May 10. The future nurse was awarded the Benjamin O. and Blanche Wentworth Endowed Nurse Scholarship.

Belmont, NY – The Allegany County Democrats collected 12 bags/boxes of non-perishable food and personal care items when they met recently in Little Genesee. The goods were donated to the Bolivar Food Pantry located at the Community Center of the Little Genesee 7th Day Baptist Church. This service project is one of the ways the Democratic Committee lives its motto: “Serving our Community”.
Thomas Klink, 76, of Wilcox Rd., Wilcox, PA passed away at his residence on Friday afternoon, May 17, 2024, following a brief illness. He was born on September 20, 1947, in Ridgway, a son to the late Howard and Patricia Glover Klink. He married the former Sandra Stahli in St. Marys and she survives.
A lifelong resident of the area, Tom lived in Wilcox since 1999, and lived most of his life in Johnsonburg, and graduated from Johnsonburg High School.
Tom was Catholic by faith, and was a member of the Wilcox American Legion. He loved visits at his home with friends and family and spending time with his dog Casey.

At 12:43 PM on Saturday, Shinglehouse Ambulance was dispatched to Bailey Avenue for difficulty breathing.
Bonnie L. Laughlin Lechner, 95, of Johnsonburg, and formerly of St. Marys, PA past away late Thursday night, May 16, 2024, at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. Bonnie was born in Medix Run, a daughter to the late William and Linnie Irwin Laughlin. On July 1, 1950, in St. Marys, she married Leo W. Lechner. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1978.
A resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home for the past 9 years, Bonnie had lived in Johnsonburg for 20 years and St. Marys for many years. She was a member of Shiloh Evangelical Presbyterian Church in St. Marys, she had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and had been the past Chief Steward of the Union at Pure Carbon Co.
Bonnie had retired from Pure Carbon after over 35 years of service.
