Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced the start of a highway restoration project on Route 646 in Keating Township, McKean County. This project will improve ride quality and extend the life of approximately three miles of highway between Ormsby and Cyclone.
Preliminary survey work started yesterday, March 4. PennDOT urges drivers to watch for surveyors in the roadway, exercise caution in this and all work zones, obey posted speed limits, and always buckle up.
Starting the week of March 11, the contractor will begin tree-cutting work within the project limits. It will complete that work during daylight hours. Drivers may encounter short delays as flaggers enforce an alternating traffic pattern. They should remain alert for flaggers and slow-moving or stopped traffic.
