Richard D. “Dick” MOSHER, II, 66, of Wellsville, NY, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 13, 2024 in Jones Memorial Hospital.
Born May 31, 1957, in Wellsville, he was the son of Richard J. and Florence Allen Mosher.
A 1977 graduate of Wellsville Central School, he attended BOCES for automotive. He was employed as an auto mechanic in Virginia for many years, where he was a certified motor vehicle inspector.
He enjoyed the simple things in life, listened to an array of music, but loved spending time with his family more than anything. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dick was a social member of Morrison Hayes American Legion Post #702, Frank B. Church VFW Post #2530, and Wellsville Lodge No. 601 Loyal Order of the Moose.

Judith Ann “Judy” BRAYMILLER, nee Evans, 84, of Riverside Drive, Wellsville, NY, died in her sleep at home on January 10, 2024.
Born September 24, 1939, in Salamanca, she was the daughter of Arnold R. and Helen L. Holmes Evans. A 1957 graduate of Salamanca High School, she began attending Deaconess Nursing School in Buffalo in the fall, but soon left due to homesickness.
On April 30, 1960, in Salamanca, she married Wayne G. Braymiller and began their family life. In 1963, the couple settled in Wellsville and bought the family home about two years later.
Judy’s love for caregiving was seen in her choice of employment throughout the years. She worked as a nurse’s aide in several nursing homes in the Wellsville area, and as a receptionist for Doctor Hong for several years. She was finally able to finish her nursing degree at Alfred State College in 1984.
Kay L. McNett, 75, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at home on Thursday, January 11, 2024. She was born on January 6, 1949, in Shinglehouse, PA to Perry “Buster” and Ellen (Reed) McNett.
She worked in Quality Control for Corning Glass/Osram for over 37 years. She was a Deacon and Treasurer for the Presbyterian Church of Upper West Conococheague, a member of Presbyterian Women Organization and volunteered at Bountiful Blessings Inc. in Mercersburg, PA. Kay enjoyed playing bingo and truly loved her family.
The last meeting was postponed due to weather and rescheduled for this Tuesday, Jan 16, at 6 in the BMBM Library Conference Room.

Robin M. Sammis of Jefferson Street, Salamanca, NY passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Olean General Hospital following a brief illness.
Robin was born on December 24, 1964, in Cuba, and was the daughter of Robert and Gale Abbey Givan. She was formerly married to Ronald P. Sammis.
Robin lived in Long Island for a period of time where she worked as a house cleaner until she returned to Western NY in 2010. She enjoyed Classic Rock & Roll, loved nature, camping, all animals and pets.

On January 15 at 6:32 am Rew Fire Dept was dispatched to a two vehicle crash on South Kendel Ave. A vehicle tried to pass a county plow truck and tore the plow off into the road blocking traffic no injuries have been reported

On January 14 at 10:44 pm. Austin Fire and Ambulance were dispatched to Rt. 155 and Keating Summit St. for a motor vehicle accident.

Philip M. Kio, 99, of Kio Rd., Port Allegany, PA passed away Friday (Jan. 12, 2024) at his home.
Born July 22, 1924, in Coudersport, he was a son of Byron J. and Etha V. Hayes Kio. On Dec. 4, 1971, he married Leah Rae Whitney, who survives. They were married 52 years.
Philip was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1942.
He was longtime farmer and was employed with North Penn Gas Co. for many years before his retirement.
Philip was a veteran of WWII, having served in the US Navy.
He was a member of the American Legion, Post 192, Coudersport, and Moose Lodge #460, Port Allegany.
