2024 McKean County Fair Queen Candidates visited the local Rotary Club
The 2024 McKean County Fair Queen Candidates visited the local Rotary Club during their weekly meeting. They also visited the Port Allegany Senior Center prior to having lunch with the Rotarians.
Miss Bradford is Mallory Craig; Miss Kane is Allenah McGuire; Miss Otto-Eldred is Anessa Steel; Miss Smethport is Tekla Loncki and representing Port Allegany is Gracee Donovan. The girls were accompanied by the reigning queen, Jaidyn Goodman. The 118th McKean County Fair will be held August 10th through August 18th at the fairgrounds located on Route 46 South in Smethport.
The Fair kicks off with a Tractor Parade at 11 a.m. It is Food Pantry Day and there is no admission to the fair this day, Sunday there is also no admission. Animals will be accepted this day and the Opening Ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. followed by a Vesper Service at 6:30. Monday is SPCA Day Sunshine Shows Amusements will run from 5:30 – 10 p.m.each day Monday – Thursday;; 1 – 10 p.m. on Friday and Noon – 10 on Saturday; and the Grand Parade will be at 7 p.m. Energy Day is Tuesday and will feature a Talent Show and Side-by-Side Rodeo, both at 7 p.m. Wednesday is Veteran’s Day. All Veterans and active duty personnel, with proof of military service will be admitted free onto the fairgrounds all day. Wednesday will feature Dan Roche at 5 p.m. and Stockcar Races at 7 p.m. Thursday is Senior Citizen’s Day and all seniors 62+ will be admitted free all day. There will be a Patsy Cline Tribute at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Tractor Pull at 7 p.m. and Barn Dance at 9 p.m. Friday is Save-a-Lot Family Day. The Queen’s Coronation will be held at 6 p.m.; aEnduro Race at 7 p.m. and Reese Gustafson & Band at 9 p.m. The Demolition Derby at 6 p.m. and Ten Pound Hammer at 8 p.m. are featured on Saturday.
