On December 13 at 4:38 pm Eldred Twp. Fire and TLC Ambulance were dispatched to Rt. 446 and the West Eldred Rd. for a one vehicle rollover crash with possible entrapment. Port Allegany Ambulance was also dispatched. Mercy flight is on standby and there is confirmed entrapment with two patients
CLARA, PA—Dennis D. Brown, 83, of Clara, PA passed away peacefully in his home with his loving wife by his side on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
Born on Sunday, November 24, 1940 in Olean, NY, he was a son of Charles E. and Ona M. Tyler Brown. On May 3, 1963 in Elizabeth, NJ, he married Marion A. Hebbe, who survives.
Dennis was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse. He was the owner/operator of D.B. Computers until his retirement. Prior to owning his own business, he was a computer technician working lastly for UNISYS Corp.
Dennis was a member of the Shinglehouse Methodist Church. Singing was his passion, having sung in the Church choir and the group “Witness”. He was an avid bowler and in his younger years enjoyed hunting.
Irwin, Pa- Cami A. Pinchock, 39, formerly of Port Allegany, PA passed away on Thursday (December 07, 2023), at her home in Irwin, Pa.
Born on September 12, 1989 she was the daughter of Cynthia Roberts Carpenter.
Cami grew up in Port Allegany and attended school there. She enjoyed time spent with her family, drawing, gambling and all things gothic. Cami had a huge heart and her love language was always gift giving to others.
In 2021, Cami relocated to the Pittsburgh area where she met the love of her life, Joshua Gartland. They made a home in Irwin, and started a new life with Cami’s three children. Josh and Cami had big plans to marry this upcoming summer of 2024.
Cami was employed by Poly Concept North America, and loved her job and her amazing work family. In the last two years, Cami had made great changes in her life and became the most loving and caring person that she could be.
At 12:05 PM on Wednesday, Ridgway & Johnsonburg Fire Depts. have been dispatched to 220 Lance Drive in Spring Creek Township for a possible chimney fire with smoke showing.
Ann E. Dippold, 78, formerly of Panama City, FL, and Warren, PA, died peacefully Thursday, Dec 7, 2023, at the PeaceHealth United General Medical Center in Sedro-Woolley, WA.
Ann was born in Highland Park, MI, to the late Thomas M. and Olga E. Buckeridge. She lived in Cohasset, MA and Erie, PA, and was a 1963 graduate of McDowell High School in Erie.
She was a nurse at Warren General Hospital and the Warren State Hospital for many decades, was a union delegate, former President of AFSCME Local 469, Council Representative for Council 13 and a fierce advocate for her fellow employees.
Ann was passionate about horses from an early age and never missed an opportunity to ride or spend time with them. She loved the ocean and some of her best days were spent at St. Andrew’s State Park in Panama City. She enjoyed travel and spent as much time with her family as possible. She was a member of Moose Lodge 109 in Warren, PA.
David Alan Marquis, 89, of Warren PA passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
Dave was born on January 16th, 1934, in Pittsburgh PA to the late William Calvin Marquis and Mary Jane (Moore) Marquis. He graduated from Connellsville High School in 1951. He enrolled at Penn State University, hitchhiking back home to Connellsville each Friday night to work a weekend shift at the Clairton Steel Works to help pay for his education. He earned a B.S. in Forestry from Penn State in 1955. Following graduation, Dave served in the US Army from 1955-1957, and was honorably discharged at the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
Dave joined the US Forest Service as a forestry researcher in 1957. He continued his education, attaining both an M.S. in Forestry and a PhD. in Forest Ecology and Silviculture from Yale University.
Following career positions with the US Forest Service in eastern Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and New Hampshire, Dave and his wife, the late Patricia Grace (West), Marquis moved to Warren in 1970 where he became project leader at the Forestry Sciences Laboratory for the Allegheny National Forest. Dave was a noted forestry researcher, publishing over a hundred scientific papers and frequently presenting at forestry conferences. He was instrumental in the early development of computer software programs for use in forestry.
Theresa Casilio, 97, of Powers Avenue, Johnsonburg, PA, after a short illness, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 surrounded by family.
She was born in Johnsonburg on May 19, 1926, a daughter to the late Frank and Mary Raubenstrauch Parana.
Theresa was a lifelong resident of Johnsonburg. She was a 1944 graduate of Johnsonburg High School, and upon graduation, she went to work for Casilio Upholstering where she met John Casilio when he returned for WWII. They married, started Elk Upholstering and raised three children. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2008.
Theresa was of good humor, hard-working and an honest person who always helped others. She was a talented seamstress who could sew anything be it clothing, curtains, upholstery and bind rugs and was also the bookkeeper for the business.
This Saturday, Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m., the Williamsport City Jazz Orchestra is presenting its popular Holiday Jazz concert at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro.
Audience members are encouraged to reserve a table, bring their own favorite beverages and snacks and sit with family and friends to enjoy the music at this BYOB concert. There will be room for dancing.
The concert will open with the orchestra playing “Good Swing Wenceslas” and Suezie Cioffi singing holiday favorites, such as “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” “Let It Snow,” “Everybody’s Waitin’ For the Man With the Bag,” “Santa Baby,” “Jingle Bells,” or “White Christmas.”
The Sixth Grade Players presented A Night at the Movies at PAES (Port Allegany Elementary School). A group of sixth grade students led by Mrs. Jen Guncheon, performed three short shows including Barbleeee, The Murder of BraunO and A Twist in the Park. The shows were written by the students during their after school club time. Performing in Barbleeeeee were <alau;a Free,am. Tero=Lynn Latten, Jayden Parish, Delainee Roche, Alyssa Stuckey and Emilee-Rae Yeager. Cast for the Murder of BraunO included Akira Ayers, John Brandes, Dana Clark, Tripplyn Dahlke, Trystian Dahlke, Nikhita Furman and Kaydence Stuckey. Kelsey Beeson, Aliyah Bennett, Victoria Benson, Devin Reed and Lillian Valentine presented A Twist in the Park. Assisting Mrs. Guncheon with directing and coaching as well as creating some of the props was Mrs. Liz Valentine.

Wellsville Police, acting on an Indictment Warrant out of Allegany County Court, arrested John D. Ewert, age 43, of Wellsville, charging him with Arson 3rd (Class C Felony) and Criminal Mischief 2nd (Class D Felony), following an investigation into a fire that took place on August 3, 2022 at 482 Scott Avenue in the Village of Wellsville.
Ewert was processed and arraigned before Allegany County Court Judge Thomas P. Brown. Ewert was released under Pre-Trial supervision by the Allegany County Probation Department. Ewert is due back in Allegany County Court on January 16th at 10:00 am.
Wellsville Police, acting on a Bench Warrant issued by the Wellsville Village Court, arrested Carrie L. McLaughlin, age 38 of Olean, for failure to appear in Court on January 17th on a previous Issuing a False Written Statement charge.
McLaughlin was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. McLaughlin was released on Electric Home Monitoring (EHM), ordered to report to the Allegany County Probation Department by 12:00 pm on December 12th.
McLaughlin is due back in Wellsville Village Court on December 19th at 4:30 pm. Wellsville Police were assisted by the City of Olean Police Department.
