Galeton Celebrates the beginning of the Christmas Season
Galeton Celebrates the beginning of the Christmas Season – GLOW (Galeton Lights on the Water) fireworks were enjoyed by many as the Galeton Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes the beginning of the Christmas season. The fireworks display was presented by the Galeton Fireworks Committee, and as always, it was beautiful and lit up the skies as well as illuminating the band house and decorations at the John J. Deer Hunters Have Successful First Day at Kinzua Quality Deer Cooperative Deer Check Stations on SR 59 and SR 346
Bradford, Pa.: The Kinzua Quality Deer Cooperative (KQDC) is operating TWO DEER CHECK STATIONS this year on SR 59 and SR 346. The next days of operation will be Sunday, 11/26, Monday, 11/27, and Saturday, December 2. Hours of operation will be 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
One KQDC deer check station will be in Marshburg along SR 59.
The second KQDC deer check station will be at the Willows Restaurant on SR 346.
BRMC helps to Knock Out Hunger
Bradford, PA – Staff from Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC), a member campus of Upper Allegheny Health System (UAHS), launched its annual food drive, “Knock Out Hunger” which coincides with “Operation: Rock Out Hunger” that all other Kaleida Health facilities participate in. The drive ran from Monday, October 16 through Friday, November 10.
Employees at BRMC collected many non-perishable food items including cereal, peanut butter, canned tuna, canned vegetables, canned fruits, pastas, rice, boxed turkey stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, boxed mac and cheese, and baby items including diapers, wipes, and formula.
Penn College teams have light week; several individuals honored
During a Thanksgiving holiday week that saw just two Tuesday basketball games, Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s and women’s teams split in their last outings before United East Conference play begins this week, while postseason honors went to five soccer, cross-country and women’s volleyball athletes.
Beyond the arenas of play and in the spirit of the season, the athletic department noted that since August, Wildcats student-athletes combined for over 1,500 community service hours, dedicating their extra time to participate in a wide array of projects to give back.

Robert E. Suladie, 81, of Emporium, PA passed away at Penn Highlands DuBois, DuBois, PA on Thursday (November 23, 2023) night following a brief illness.
He was born November 28, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio a son of the late Elmer J. and Virginia Miller Suladie. On July 1, 1962 he married Roma “Carole” Lyons, who survives.
Bob graduated from South High School in Willoughby, OH. He worked as an appliance repair man throughout the area.

counties. Heaviest lake effect snows will remain well south of
the Buffalo Metro area.

Daniel C. FULLER, 86, of Wellsville, NY, died Thursday, November 23, 2023 in the Comfort House of Allegany County.
He was born in Wellsville, NY on July 29, 1937, the son of Esther Belle McElheny and Charles Daniel Fuller.
He attended Wellsville Central Schools, graduating in 1956. Dan was on the Wellsville High Wrestling Team, winning the Section V championship in his junior year. After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps, serving in Tengan-Okinawa, Japan, and Camp Butler, San Francisco, for a total of four years, earning the rank of Corporal.
After military service, he returned to Wellsville and joined Scoville, Brown and Co. in the Sales Department. On August 17, 1963, he married Sharlet (Bly) Fuller of Old Fort, OH.

Thomas J. Bell, Sr., age 76, of Elkland, PA passed away at his home on Friday, November 24, 2023.
Born August 16, 1947 in Rexford, NY, he was the son of the late Earl and Amy (Smith) Bell.
Tom served during the Vietnam War in the US Army, was a Tioga County Fire Police for many years, a member of the Clymer Hose Volunteer Fire Company and a lifetime member of the Sabinsville Ambulance Association.
