Austin-Cox American Legion Post 478 invited EVERYONE to their PATRIOT DAY CEREMONY MONDAY, September 11th at 11 a.m. at MANSFIELD VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK, between the bridge and Sheetz on US RT 6, Mansfield PA 16933. In case of rain, the Ceremony will be at MANSFIELD FIRE HALL, 381 S Main St. [Business RT 15].

The Future First Responders will be hosting a 9/11 Memorial walk this Sunday 9/10 at the Cowanesque Valley High School (CVHS) track @8am. Rain or shine!
Come out and walk a little or a lot!! With gear on or without!
We are doing 9.11 miles~ALL ARE WELCOME!!
Following the walk, is a cruise-in event @CVHS parking lot from 11am-3pm. Fire apparatus are welcome.

Turtlepoint, PA–At 9:15 AM on Sunday, Port Allegany ambulance has been called to Rock Run Road for a female burn victim. Dispatch indicated the female was burned when oxygen exploded while fixing breakfast causing facial burns & difficulty breathing. Ambulance 24 took the call.
On September 10 at 1:09 am. Otto Fire and Bradford ambulance was dispatched to School St. for a one vehicle crash.
On September 10 at 12:29 am. Coudersport fire and ambulance were dispatched to Rt. 244 North for a one vehicle crash vehicle into a pole with a possible injury.
At 9:56 PM on Saturday, Shinglehouse ambulance has been called to Walnut Street for a possible CVA.
At 9:16 PM on Saturday, Shinglehouse ambulance has been called to North Union Street for a female fall victim.
At 9:15 PM on Saturday, Bradford City Firefighters have been dispatched to 7 Colonial Heights Drive for a possible electrical fire in the kitchen.

ULYSSES, Pa.—Mr. Kari P. “Finn” Karhio, 66, of Ulysses, passed away following a motor vehicle accident in Mills, on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

Officers of the Friendship Police Department have received multiple complaints of unauthorized motor vehicles operating through town resulting in multiple UTT’s being issued to Alexander W. Cavanugh (26 YO) of Friendship NY : Cavanugh was observed operating an unregistered dirt bike on Depot Street. See below for charges.

Cavanugh was issued appearance tickets and released to appear in the Friendship Town Court at a later date. Cavanugh is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sep 8th, 2023 Description On 09/05/2023 City of Bradford Police observed Shannon Stuckey on a bicycle riding Bolivar Drive.
Police verified there was an arrest warrant for Stuckey in relation to drugs and they stopped him in the 600 block of East Main Street. Stuckey was taken into custody and found to be in possession of paraphernalia and Methamphetamine.
Stuckey was transported to McKean County Jail on the warrant and he will be facing additional charges for the paraphernalia and Methamphetamine.

Sep 8th, 2023 Description On June 26th, 2023 the City of Bradford Police investigated Timothy J. Kinney, 27 yrs old, for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a minor juvenile female age 15.
After an investigation was conducted charges were filed against Kinney accordingly for the acts committed. On August 29th, 2023 Kinney was taken into custody and arraigned by Magistrate Todd who set bail at $80,000. Kinney did not post bail and was remanded to McKean County Jail.
Preliminary hearings have been set in the matter. At 3:35 PM on Saturday, Millerton, Lawrenceville & Erway ambulance have been called to a 4 wheeler accident at East Lawrence Road & Whitford Road. 2 people are reported injured.
Randal P. HARRIS, 51, of Andover, NY, died Tuesday, September 5, 2023 in his home.
He was born February 28, 1972, in Hornell. Randy attended Wellsville High School and was previously employed by Bullfrog Construction in Hornell. Randy loved his dogs, NASCAR, and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Mildred R. HANNIGAN, 90, of Wellsville, NY, died peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2023 in her home surrounded by her daughters and her faithful little dog, Joey.
Born January 13, 1933, in Genesee, PA, she was the third daughter of Robert S. and Mildred H. Bartlett. Her family later moved to Wellsville, NY, where she attended school and where she learned to roller skate. She loved dancing on skates. She married Lawrence Hannigan on December 15, 1951, and they raised three daughters: Lucinda, Cheryl, and Kim.

Amy Sue Rial was born on May 24, 1976, in Hornell, NY and was called home by her Lord and Savior on September 7, 2023.
Amy lived her faith every day of her life. “She stood strong, she stood courageous, she stood unwavering in her testimony of trusting God through the storm.”
Her empathetic heart led her to a fulfilling career in education where she taught at Horseheads School District for 25 years. She was a thoughtful teacher, well-respected, and dearly loved by her students and colleagues. Her commitment to nurturing young minds was recognized by the school district and helped her make a difference in countless lives.
She was a graduate of Whitesville Central School, Houghton College, and received her Master’s Degree from Elmira College.
