The landing zone was set for the airstrip in Knoxville and Patrol 6-4 and Patrol 5-4 were sent to the LZ. Chief 6 arrived at the LZ and was the Landing zone officer. Captain 5-90 staged at 249 and Edgewood hollow intersection to prevent any unwanted traffic from coming up the trail while bringing patient out. After crews with the patient assessed and packaged patient for transport they started their travel out. Due to the patient injuries and the rough terrain they couldn’t move very fast on the way out.
