Chief 44-10 (J.Burgett), Engine 44-2 with Lt.44 (S.Foringer), Ambulance 44-7 with Chief 44-60 (T.Orlowski), Chief 44-70 (S.Orlowski) & Capt 44 (A.Bothell) and Patrol 44-24 with Chief 44-30 (S.Hostetlar) has responded. Chief 44-10 (J.Burgett) has Austin Command, confirming active leak. UGI is responding.
Ronald J. Bethel, 77, of Smethport, PA passed away Saturday (May 6, 2023) at Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., Smethport.
Kris L. King, 60, of 1085 Water Street Extension, Johnsonburg, PA passed away early Thursday morning, May 5, 2023 at Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on September 26, 1962 in Warren, PA a son to Elizabeth Steudler King and the late Marlin King. On October 7, 1983 in Johnsonburg, he married Valerie Krise and she survives.

A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, Kris was a 1980 graduate of Johnsonburg Area High School. Kris was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Johnsonburg. He loved spending time with his family, took pride in his home and property and tinkering in his garage. He especially took pride in decorating his home and grounds for the holidaysÂ
Kris had worked for Paper City Transfer for the past 12+ years. He had also worked for Mountain Metal, St. Marys and Willamette Industries, Johnsonburg Mill.Â
Kris is survived by his mother Elizabeth King of Johnsonburg, his wife Valerie King at home, daughters Jennifer (Joshua) Blose of Brockport, NY and Emily (Bryan) Geer of Johnsonburg and grandchildren Gracie and Elijah Blose and Cyrus and Addyline Geer. He is also survived by a brother Gene King of Jamestown, NY.
In addition to his father, Kris is predeceased by a brother Joseph King and a brother in infancy.
A Funeral Service for Kris L. King will be conducted at St. John Lutheran Church, Johnsonburg on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 11 with Rev. Aurdra Ferguson, Kris’ niece, Pastor of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Tiffin, OH as celebrant. Interment will be in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel, Â 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg, PA Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 PM.
If desired, memorial contributions should be made in Kris’ name to St. John Lutheran Church, 325 Church St., Johnsonburg, PA 15845.

DuBOIS, Pa. — Culminating many hours of hard work and dedication, graduates from Penn State DuBois celebrated their accomplishments during the commencement ceremony held on Friday at the PAW Center. Jungwoo Ryoo, chancellor and chief academic officer, presided over the ceremony, with Arshad Khan, professor of chemistry, serving as faculty marshal and Dylan Treaster serving as the student marshal.
