Helen M. Brunecz, 92, of Kinzua Nursing Home
Helen M. Brunecz, 92, of Kinzua Nursing Home, passed away on Thursday March 30, 2023, at UPMC Hamot Hospital, Erie, PA.
Helen was born April 2nd, 1930, the daughter of the late Barzill and Esther (Beck) Dyer. She lived 65 years on a farm in Sugar Grove, PA where she shared nearly 60 years with her loving husband the late Carl L. Brunecz. Helen enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens, loved to read and her biggest enjoyment was walking on the farm.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Daniel Dyer, a sister Evelyn Austin, a daughter Cindy Jarbeck, and a grandson Michael Morgan.
Surviving are 3 children, David (Maggie) Brunecz, of Georgia, Diane Brunecz, of Warren, PA, and Robin (Randy) Morgan, of Sugar Grove, PA; 7 grandchildren, Tina Belvin of TX, Kelly Archer of NC, David (Mae) Brunecz of PA, Kyle (Kristen) Morgan of VA, Stephen (Diane) Jarbeck of NY, Jennifer (Matthew) Marrero of GA, and Katie Brunecz of GA; 15 great grandchildren, Regina (Rigoberto) Reyes of TX, Kaila (Caleb) Frank of OH, Devan (Rachel Pelchat) Shirley of NC, Brienna Archer of NC, Logan Archer of NC, Cynthia Jarbeck of NY, Jasmine Jarbeck of NY, Stephen Jarbeck IV of NY, Ryan Brunecz of PA, Logan Brunecz of PA, Sophia Brunecz of PA, Haley Morgan of VA, Zachary Morgan of VA, Cayden Marrero of GA, Hadley Marrerro of GA; 6 great great grandchildren, Audrey, Milania, and Sophia Reyes, Kroy, Kaiser, and Kendyl Frank.

Frank J. Scarpino, also known as Fabulous Frank, 69, of Orchard Park, N.Y. and formerly of Warren, PA.
Frank J. Scarpino, also known as Fabulous Frank, 69, of Orchard Park, N.Y. and formerly of Warren, PA., slept peacefully from this life to his eternal home, Monday, March 6, 2023. Frank was born January 31, 1954, in Jamestown, New York. He was the son of Carl and Josephine Rosella Scarpino.
He was a 1972 graduate of Jamestown High School and a graduate of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Frank was a Warren resident for over 20 years, and then lived in Orchard Park, N.Y. for over 20 years. Over the years, he was owner and operator of the former Classy Closet specialty clothing store, The Willows Bed & Breakfast, Extra Extras Consignment Shop and Gifted Images all operated in Warren, PA., He also owned and rented out numerous costumes for Halloween and special events. He also was formerly employed as a furniture salesman with Ashley Home Store in Orchard Park, N.Y.
Frank was active in local theatres where he created overall costume designs. He was an active member and friend of the Imperial Court of Buffalo where he enjoyed attending their Imperial Masquerade ICP Ball.
Frank can be remembered by many friends whom he loved to talk and spend time with. He was a fashion icon, and once told a friend, “Life is too short not to wear the expensive jewelry and vintage glasses.” He was a man full of love and life. He truly made everything both special and beautiful. Frank lit up every room he walked into to.
He is survived by his loving daughter whom he dearly loved and spoke of often, Erin Scarpino, Son-In-Law Francisco Almonte and Granddaughter, Valentina Almonte of Secaucus, N.J., Brother, 3 Sisters, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his, parents, he was preceded in death by his longtime partner and best friend, David Simmons who died March 3, 2022.

David Lawrence Hildebrand, 68, of Warren, PA
David Lawrence Hildebrand, 68, of Warren, PA passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, after an extended illness.
David was born on February 22, 1955, the son of the late Merle and Annella (Flecher) Hildebrand in New Castle, PA. After graduating from New Castle High School in 1973 he went on to study City Planning at Penn State and Indiana College of Pennsylvania. After graduation, he landed his first jobs as a City Planner for Virginia and Texas, kicking off a career in City Planning. He was the Director of Planning and Development for the City of Warren for 29 years before retiring in 2021.
He met Donna Avellino Young, and they married in 2003. Together they have three children. Anne Hildebrand (Mike Aranda) of Boston, MA; Tim Hildebrand and his wife Brittany Luna of Philadelphia, PA; and Scott Young of Buffalo, NY. After retiring David spent time on his hobbies of books and gardening.

Bobby S. D. Wray, Sr.             “beloved father, fiance`, son, and brother”
Bobby S. D. Wray, Sr., 36, of Wellsville, formerly of Bolivar and a former longtime resident of Galliapolis, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
Born on Friday, February 27, 1987 in Augusta, Georgia, he was a son of Charles L. “Charlie” Wray and Stephanie L. Cramer.
Bobby was a graduate of Hannan Trace High School in Crown City, Ohio, he also attended Buckeye Hills Career Center in Rio Grande, Ohio, where he studied and became certified in heating and cooling technology.
He was employed at Save A Lot in Wellsville.
He enjoyed working on cars, tattooing, and riding his motorcycle.
Left to cherish his memory are fiancee`, Jennifer Porter, who he deeply loved and had planned to marry on April 20, 2023; his father Charles “Charlie” Wray and stepmother, Dianna Wray of Jackson, Ohio; his mother and stepfather, Stephanie Cramer and Kim Hess of Little Genesee; six children, Hannah Barcus, Alexis Wray, Jayden Wray, Sydney Wray, and Joseph Wray, all of Galliapolis, Ohio, and Bobby S. D. Wray, Jr. of Wellsville; two sisters, Jennifer (Joseph) Walker of Hornell and Melissa (Ira) Turner of Patriot, Ohio; four brothers, Scott Wargo and Cody Wargo, both of Buffalo, Adam (Rachel) Wray of Galliapolis, Ohio, and Nathan (Summer) Karns of Bolivar; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no pubic visitation. A celebration of life will be held on a date and time to be announced.

At 1:01 PM on Saturday, Shinglehouse ambulance has been called to Kings Run Road for altered mental status.
Structure Fire In Horton Twp.
On April 1, 5:31 Kersey, and Horton Twp. were dispatched a structure fire on 1483 California Rd. It started as a chimney fire that spread to the roof. Mutual aid units assisted this fully involved fire.
Potter County Housing Authority Is Requesting Proposals For Lawn Care
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
The Potter County Housing Authority is requesting proposals for lawn care at our housing projects/locations for a TWO (2) YEAR TERM. The responsible Bidder will perform lawn mowing, trimming of sidewalk and building edges, as well as grass and loose tree branch cleanup. The Bidder will perform the requested work with their equipment. All Bidders’ will supply a current certificate of insurance of at least $1,000,000 liability coverage and have current vehicle insurance. Workmen’s compensation coverage must be carried on all employees, and a completed IRS tax form W-9 must be included with the bid submission. Terms of the lawn care service is as follows:
Term of contract: Year #1-April 18 to October 20, 2023. Year #2-April 19 to October 21, 2024.
Mowing Frequency: One (1) time a week if grass is 3” or over before mowing. Mowing and trimming will be completed up to two (2) times a week if needed during the period of April 18 to May 12, 2023 and April 19 to May 13, 2024. Contact Mark Tubbs for pre-approval. Second year schedule will be set weather permitting.
Lawn Clippings: Leave on lawn if not visible within one (1) day of mowing at each location. Rake and remove heavy grass and debris from lawns to designated location on site. Redwood Village requires removal of excess grass and debris from site by Bidder. Contact the Maintenance Dept. for the location.
Sidewalks: Sweep and remove all grass and debris from all sidewalks and parking lots.
Trimming: Use a Weed-Eater to trim sidewalks, building’s edge and around trees & bushes.
Bid pricing terms: Bid price should be on per mow basis per project/location.
